Montreal, Quebec, Canada, November 5,   2009— Local residents and fledgling reporters around the world now have a new home with today’s launch of YouBubble.com, a community-generated news site that combines local reporting with the best of global online news sources.

YouBubble.com was developed out of a need for community-minded people to have a forum for reporting on their town government, schools and businesses.  YouBubble provides the forum and infrastructure for anyone to contribute news and information as well as an opportunity for readers to comment and further the discussion.

What makes YouBubble.com particularly relevant is that it also offers links to numerous online local and international new sources so it can serve as a robust portal for all news-seeking readers.  A graphic-oriented user interface and highly intuitive navigation makes the robust information on YouBubble.com instantly accessible to anyone with any level of web-surfing acumen.

“YouBubble was designed to appeal to both new reporters and news readers,” says Patrick Amendola, one of the creators and chief visionary behind YouBubble.com.  “It can serve as a powerful community-focused forum for local residents to share their stories and views while also appealing to the news seeker on the other side who wants a one-stop site for all their news sources.”

During the past two years of developing YouBubble.com, Amendola and his partner, Peter Castronovo with their team of developers and architects, took great care in making YouBubble.com easy to use for both contributor and news seeker.  Utilizing interactive maps to represent global and local news sources and graphic icons to find online print and video news resources, YouBubble.com represents a new and different approach to generating and delivering the news.  Contributors can provide reports via text or video.

“We see, hear and debate about the news daily,” says Castronovo.  “We could be part of an event or just happen to be at the right place when news breaks.  Don’t just live in your bubble write what you’ve just witnessed, or share your homemade video?  People want to read it and see it.”

YouBubble.com is already making an impact.  Writes one user from India, “I found this site can act as a bridge between different countries, cultures and regions. Just like I am able to glean so much knowledge about USA and other parts of the world and the lifestyles of the people living there. It is so very much enlightening to know that wherever we might be living in, we have the same problems and issues though we might be reacting to them in a different way. I really feel that this site as the voice of the man on the street.”

YouBubble.com is a community-generated new site providing a forum for local reporters to contribute stories from their own perspective.  YouBubble.com also provides an easy-to-use graphical-oriented news portal for news seekers around the world.
