Meridian’s Bodies in Motion is the health club you want to join if
you work or live around Century City. Conveniently located on Century
Park East at Constellation, Meridian offers state of the art
cardiovascular equipment, circuit training equipment, free weights and
more. It is the only fitness center in the area that is in the
mid-price range but with the amenities it offers you’d think they’d be
charging high prices for a membership. Walter Rodas, General Manager
at Meridian, says “In my 10 year tenure with the club I’ve found that
my members value personal customer service but most importantly at a
reasonable cost.” Meridian seems to stand out as the only health club
in the area that maintains the customer service and facilities of the
more expensive health clubs in LA while somehow avoiding the crowds
that plague most of the lower priced gyms.
Down to earth professionals as well as the young residents of the
Beverly Hills community fill the high-energy club, creating the
friendly and comfortable atmosphere for which Meridian is known. The
service oriented staff enhances individual experiences with their
education, expertise, and desire to help. Walter explains, “We take
great pride in personally assisting customers which has played an
important role in our high retention of loyal members.” There are over
100 classes listed on the extensive weekly schedule, broken down
between three large studios. On the first floor you will find the
boxing studio consisting of 22 large boxing bags that hang from the
ceiling. There is also a cycling studio where there are over 20
cycling classes held per week. Finally, there is the exercise studio,
which is a large open space with wood floors; this is where cardio
classes, yoga, and mat pilates classes are held. The instructors are
of the highest quality, having taught at some of the most prestigious
yoga studios and health clubs in Los Angeles. One of the best parts of
the group fitness classes at Meridian is that you don’t have to get
there early to reserve a spot. Most fitness centers require that you
sign up half an hour early to reserve a bike, or a bag, but the studios
at Meridian never fill up so you can just show up and hop in.
Furthermore, there is never a wait to get on any of the cardio or
weight equipment, of which there is an entire floor dedicated to each.
Meridian’s Bodies in Motion offers their members complimentary personal
training sessions every six months, as well as a complimentary personal
pilates session. This is a great way to get familiar with the club
when you first join and also a great way to learn something new after
having been a member for a while. Also, Meridian offers some of the
best rates in training packages if you are interested in continuing
with a personalized private training program. Finally, if you need to
unwind after a hard workout, or workday, they also offer great deals on
massages for members Monday through Sunday. Meridian’s Bodies in
Motion would like to invite you to check out the facility by giving you
a three-day guest pass, call 310-789-1111.
