On New Year’s Day 2010, millions of fans from around the world will be in Pasadena for the 121st Tournament of Roses Parade. Many spectators will spend days camping out on the street in hopes of getting a good spot to watch the parade. What many people don’t know is that you can reserve seats for the best parade view in the house through Pasadena’s Sharp Seating, the exclusive ticket sellers for the Tournament of Roses Parade for more than 75 years.
Sharp Seating has a variety of ticket and parking packages available for the Rose Parade, as well as for other activities that make up the Tournament of Roses Celebration. Tickets are selling quickly for grandstand seating at the start of the parade route – the same view TV cameras capture for the parade’s network broadcast – so reserve now for the best selection. Ticket prices range from $42-$85 per seat, depending on location, plus $28 for a parking pass.
Sharp Seating also provides tickets for a variety of pre- and post-parade events, including BandFest and EquestFest. BandFest features bands from around the country celebrating their participation in the Rose Parade through a series of on-field shows that showcase their musical and marching prowess. BandFest performances take place December 29 and December 30, 2009.
At EquestFest, parade fans can stroll through the Rose Parade stable area and meet many of the equestrians they will see on New Year’s Day parade, and enjoy taking a photo with their beautiful horses. Visitors can enjoy riding demonstrations and equestrian drills, as well as ongoing exhibits, musical performances, and great food. EquestFest is December 29, 2009. Tickets for EquestFest and BandFest are extremely affordable at $12.00 each, making them the perfect family events.
Parade fans who want an up-close look at the Rose Parade’s legendary floats can purchase tickets to watch the final stages of float decoration at three different locations in Pasadena, including two locations inside the Rose Bowl stadium itself. Tickets are also available to view the floats after the parade. These events are extremely popular, so avoid long lines and purchase tickets ($7 for each event) in advance.
Tickets for the Tournament of Roses Parade and all other events can be purchased online at www.sharpseating.com or by calling (626) 795-4171.
“The Tournament of Roses is one of the greatest spectacles in the world,” said Sharp Seating President Sindee Riboli. “There really is nothing else like it – more than 50 floats, 25 bands, 25 equestrian troops. Musicians and equestrians from around the country compete to be in the Rose Parade, so viewers really enjoy the best of the best. And while the floats look beautiful on television, they are truly breathtaking when you see them live. It’s an experience of a lifetime that no-one should miss.”
More than 40 million viewers watch the Rose Parade on television every year, with more than one million attending the parade live. Viewer options for the parade are expected to be at a premium for the 2010 parade, as we host the traditional granddaddy of them all, the 2010 Rose Bowl football game on January 1st and also the BCS Championship on January 7th.
