
(West Hollywood, CA – November 10, 2009) – For the first-time ever, Pacific Design Center and the Avenues of Art & Design (a West Hollywood Business Improvement District) are joining forces to produce WESTWEEK + Art & Design Walk: a week-long celebration of great fashion, art, and design in West Hollywood; it was announced jointly today by Charles S. Cohen, president/founder of Pacific Design Center and Darren Gold, Chair of the Avenues of Art & Design. WESTWEEK 2010 will take place at Pacific Design Center, Wednesday, March 24 and Thursday, March 25; and the. Art & Design Walk is Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27, 2010.
“Pacific Design Center is a cornerstone of great design from its Cesar Pelli-designed facade to thousands of quality showroom products,” said Charles S. Cohen. “We are delighted that the Avenues of Art & Design community will join us this year to celebrate a week’s worth of great design in West Hollywood.”

An institution for more than 25 years, WESTWEEK is Pacific Design Center’s annual design industry/trade event that combines keynote lectures, showroom programs, new product introductions and book signings. WESTWEEK 2010 also marks the 16th annual Stars of Design Awards recognizing southern California professionals who have made significant contributions in their respective areas including: interior design, architecture, photography, product, urban and graphic design and fine art.
The Avenues’ annual Art & Design Walk, a district wide public event, encompasses free open studio tours, book signings, artist receptions, product offerings and demonstrations from the more than 300 business, including over 30 art galleries, 100 antique and contemporary furniture and interior design stores, 40 restaurants and a variety of premier fashion designer boutiques.
Opened in 1975 the award-winning Pacific Design Center is the west coast’s largest multi-use facility providing design, entertainment and arts communities with public and private conference spaces for lectures, meetings, special events, screenings, exhibitions and receptions.
